The word ‘נצר – Netzer’ is an acronym for “נוער ציוני רפורמי – No’ar Tzioni Reformi” – Progressive, Zionist, Youth.

These are the foundations of Netzer’s Ideology: Progressive Judaism, Reform Zionism, and Youth engagement.

Netzer uses informal education to run a variety of activities that are both fun and intellectually challenging. We aim to empower the youth and encourage them to be active participants of the Progressive community. Netzer is a world-wide movement which is affiliated with the World Union for Progressive Judaism and has branches (sniffim) in fourteen countries.

Netzer Australia has been providing positive and vibrant Jewish experiences for our community and its youth for 45 years. Through Netzer, our participants engage with their Jewish identity, making lifelong friends and becoming leaders of our community.

Camp is for participants in years 9-13 (2027), including recent high school graduates.

Prices for our Federal Summer Camp are as follows:

Early Bird: $860

Standard Fee: $885

Late Fee: $900

Like the rest of the Australia, Netzer is also heavily affected by the rising cost of living which is unfortunately reflected in our camp prices. Nonetheless, we are doing our best to keep our prices as low as possible and ensure we have subsidies available for anybody in need. The cost of camp amounts to roughly $110 per day, which covers accommodation, transport, food, camp merchandise, resources and equipment, high quality Jewish education, and for the parents, a week of childless fun!

Each year level has specific topics as well as engaging with our broad aims of Jewish identity, Tikkun Olam, Progressive Judaism and Reform Zionism. No matter the topic, all year levels learn in an inclusive, fun and engaging environment that fosters individual growth and critical thinking.

If you live anywhere too far from the campsite, please let us know in the sign up form so we can arrange a billet. We provide assistance in covering the costs of flights and travel from smaller communities through the generous support of the Union of Progressive Judaism.

The safety and wellbeing of every chanich/a and madrich/a is our highest priority. We follow all AZYC guidlines to ensure the highest standards of child safety. We have comprehensive safety, risk management and emergency procedures in place for all aspects of camp.

We work closely with the CSG and follow the security guidelines and protocols they recommend. These measures are regularly reviewed and implemented to help ensure a safe environment for everyone attending camp.
