At Machon Form a close-knit group that will be your home throughout Shnat Netzer. Get to know one another, learn about the program, andprepare for the upcoming Machon chapter.

Machon la'madrichim, is a leadership institute for international youth movement young leaders, bringing together participants from Jewish and Zionist movements worldwide. The program in Jerusalem includes interesting courses on Judaism, leadership, education, Zionism, Hebrew, and more, as well as seminars and trips around Israel and meaningful volunteering. This segment also includes the meaningful Poland trip, and a week-long Passover break allows participants to plan personal activities (expenses for this week are on their own).

In this one-month segment, the Shnatties live on Kibbutz Lotan, a Reform Jewish ecological community in southern Israel. They learn and volunteer in sustainability and agriculture, work with youth and children, and engage in educational sessions on Reform Judaism, the kibbutz movement, and the connection between Judaism and the environment.

In this part of the program, the Shnatties fly as part of the Israeli delegation of JAFI (The Jewish Agency for Israel) to the Reform movement’s summer camps in the U.S. At camp, they will serve as Madrichim for the children as part of an international staff team.

- As a Netzer group, participants are sometimes placed in different camps, but we always do our best to accommodate personal preferences and to place Netzer Shnatties together whenever possible.

In the final two months, the Shnatties focus on personal and group growth, bringing their full identities into the community. Set in a shared Jewish-Arab environment, the program combines meaningful volunteering—teaching English, sustainable agriculture with Arabic and Hebrew learning, cultural activities, and dialogue. This period also includes the High Holidays, which The Shnatties can celebrate with the local community, as well as a closing seminar marking the conclusion of the program.
